A novel and robust technique for identifying prestress forces in prestressed concrete beams using generic finite elements and simulated annealing algorithms

This work presents a novel technique for estimating the prestressing forces in simply supported beams with axial prestress force. The is based on use of generic finite elements modeling beam and experimental time-domain response to simultaneously identify parameters. Parameter updating accomplished using Simulated Annealing algorithm implemented solution force identification problem. effectiveness method was assessed numerical simulations further verified an prestressed concrete beam. results show that inclusion allows be achieved even presence errors model parameters, thus eliminating restraints previous approaches.
